Hello! My name is Hayley Stevens and I am the owner & operator of Beauty By Hayl. I am a recent graduate of The Orlo School of Hair Design and Cosmetology in Albany, NY. I have always had a love for all things beauty- from playing in my Mom's makeup bag as a little girl to getting my little sister ready for her junior prom. Hair is my art & passion, I am able to bring out the beauty in my clients while practicing something that I enjoy to the fullest!
My Story
After attending college for three years I realized I wasn't passionate about what I was doing with my life. I wasn't excited for my future and I felt like I had nothing to look forward to. I had talked about possibly going to hair school after college just for something extra to do on the side, but I didn't make any set plans of going. It was a dream that hadn't been set into motion.
I had just ended a long relationship and moved back in with my parents- my life was literally turned upside down. I realized that life is too short not to spend time doing something you love, so I dropped out of college and enrolled in cosmetology school for that coming fall.
It wasn't long before I knew that I had made the best decision for myself and for my future. I loved hair school! I had the best teachers and I was just so eager and excited to learn everything. I truly believe that standing behind the chair is my calling, and transforming my clients' hair is my passion. I created Beauty By Hayl with the intention of making clients feel beautiful when they leave my chair. I strive to deliver the client's goals while keeping the integrity of their hair intact.
